Run NL is your hub for exciting running events across North Lanarkshire. Whether you’re an experienced runner or looking to try something new, we offer events that combine fitness, community, and meaningful causes.
This year we are delighted to introduce two new additions to our events schedule, our Adult 10k Series and our Youth 5k Series.
Nite Lite Run Dark
Experience the unique atmosphere of a night-time run. The Nite Lite 10K takes you along an illuminated trail through Drumpellier Country Park, offering a one-of-a-kind running experience while supporting Suicide Prevention North Lanarkshire.

North Lanarkshire Half Marathon
Date: Sunday 24th August 2025
Location: Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility
RUN NL are delighted to showcase the Half Marathon event for 2025, as part of our comprehensive events schedule. This Half Marathon event shall see participants aged 16 years+ enter a unique race event that will be showcased through an exciting and brand new route within the Motherwell and surrounding areas.
Event Highlights:
- Entry Includes: Fruit,Water, Cereal Bars, Race T-Shirt and Hydration Gels.
- The event shall be officially chip timed with start and finish points based at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility.
-With music and entertainment provided, together with Food, Refreshment and Merchandise stalls and vendors also attending on the day, it will be a fantastic family occasion for everyone to enjoy.!
- 5k, 1k, 400 meter and Toddler dash options available
Cumbernauld 10k
Date: Sunday 14th September 2025
Location: Broadwood Stadium, Cumbernauld
The Cumbernauld 10K is a highlight on the local running calendar, offering a scenic and rewarding challenge for runners of all levels. This event also features shorter distances for younger participants, making it a great day out for the whole family.

- Suitable for runners of all abilities
- A celebration of health, fitness, and community
- Take in the views of Broadwood Loch, finishing in a Broadwood Football Stadium
- 5k, 1k, 400 meter and Toddler dash options available
Santa Dash 5k
Date: Sunday 7th December 2025
Location: Strathclyde Country Park
Start the festive season with a fun, family-friendly 5K! The Santa Dash is perfect for all ages and abilities, and every participant receives a Santa suit to wear during the race.
Event Highlights:
- Entry Includes: Santa suit and a festive medal
- Supports St. Andrew’s Hospice
- Fun way to get active and enjoy the holiday spirit while supporting a great cause!
