The February break is not far away, and North Lanarkshire Council offers a variety of fantastic sports camps for children primary 1 upwards. These can be booked using the options below.
Bookings will be live from 12pm on Monday 6 January.

Terms and Conditions
1. The Customer hereby agrees to ensure the child is suitably attired for the activities i.e. suitable running shoes, shorts or jogging bottoms, t-shirt.
2. The Customer will fill out a medical form/consent form prior to the child participating.
3. If your child has any additional needs or requires intimate care, this must be discussed with the team at the time of booking to allow for an appropriate risk assessment and discussion before booking can be confirmed. Any requests can be emailed to sportsdev@northlan.gov.uk
4. The Customer is aware that the other participants may have been in contact with peanuts and nuts. NLC cannot guarantee that any children attending will not have been in recent contact with foods containing peanuts or other allergens.
5. Children must be between 5-15 years old and primary 1 upwards to attend.
6. Children are prohibited from using mobile phones or devices during the camps.
7. All customers must provide a minimum of 1 week’s notice on all sports camp bookings if they wish to cancel to receive a full refund.

Dance - More Info
WHAT DOES THE PROGRAMME INVOLVE (What happens during the class, what they do each week?)
Our dance camps will incorporate learning different dance styles and routines. Participants will also have the opportunity to choreograph their own routines.
WHAT SPECIFIC SKILLS WILL THE PARTICIPANT LEARN?
As well as getting fitter and mastering new dance styles and techniques; learning to dance can improve participants communication skills and teamwork.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAMME?
Learn new dance styles, meet new friends and have fun in a friendly, safe environment.
DO THEY NEED TO BRING ANY EQUIPMENT? IF SO, WHAT?
All equipment will be provided.
WHAT SHOULD THEY WEAR?
Something comfortable that the child can move in e.g. leggings/joggers, t-shirt, trainers/jazz shoes.
ANY ADDITIONAL RELEVANT INFORMATION?

Football - More Info
WHAT DOES THE PROGRAMME INVOLVE (What happens during the class, what they do each week?)
The programme is structured and planned with themed days for the players to develop, practice and have fun! This will include specific drills, fun games, game related practices and football games/tournaments.
WHAT SPECIFIC SKILLS WILL THE PARTICIPANT LEARN?
Football Skills - Dribbling, Passing, Shooting, Control, Skills to beat an opponent, Attacking & Defending scenarios. Social and Motor Skills – Co-ordination, Speed, Balance and Confidence
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAMME?
Learn new skills, meet new friends and play sports in a fun, safe environment.
DO THEY NEED TO BRING ANY EQUIPMENT? IF SO, WHAT?
All equipment is provided, except Goalkeeping gloves, shin pads and football boots.
WHAT SHOULD THEY WEAR?
Appropriate clothing for outdoors, T-shirt, Jacket, shorts, shin pads and please bring footwear for indoors and outdoors (football boots / indoor trainers).
ANY ADDITIONAL RELEVANT INFORMATION?
The programme is for all abilities. Please bring plenty of water/refillable bottle and also a packed lunch with snacks for during the day.

WHAT DOES THE PROGRAMME INVOLVE (What happens during the class, what they do each week?)
The programme is for players of advanced level abilities. It is structures and planned with themed days for the players to develop, practive and have fun! Days will include player testing, nutrition workshops and a match analysis session.
WHAT SPECIFIC SKILLS WILL THE PARTICIPANT LEARN?
Dribbling, passing, shooting, control, skills to beat an opponent, attacking & defending scenarios. Co-ordination, speed, balance and confidence.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAMME?
Being challenged by training with Advanced Players, how to prepare your body with the right nutrition for games and training, how to analyse your performance using video technology.
DO THEY NEED TO BRING ANY EQUIPMENT? IF SO, WHAT?
All equipment is provided, except Goalkeeping gloves, shin pads and football boots.

WHAT DOES THE PROGRAMME INVOLVE (What happens during the class, what they do each week?)
Gymnastics is one of the most comprehensive lifestyle exercise programmes available to participants incorporating strength, flexibility, speed, balance, coordination, power and discipline. The programme is structured and planned with themed days throughout the 2 weeks for the children to develop and have fun!
WHAT SPECIFIC SKILLS WILL THE PARTICIPANT LEARN?
General gymnastic skills as well as increased balance, coordination including hand-eye co-ordination, strength development and agility.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAMME?
Learn new skills that will improve technique, meet new friends and have fun in a fun, safe environment.
DO THEY NEED TO BRING ANY EQUIPMENT? IF SO, WHAT?
All equipment will be provided.
WHAT SHOULD THEY WEAR?
Something comfortable that the participant can move in e.g. leggings/joggers, t-shirt, leotard. Gymnasts will participate in bare feet. All jewellery should be removed or piercings covered for safety reasons.
